Peter Max’s Abstract Flowers is a work of expressionistic joy. A square vase grounds an overflowing bounty of flowers, rendered with kinetic, textured brushwork and a rainbow of bold, fauvist color. The artist creates the flowers in swirls of multi-colored brushstrokes, mixing the paint on the brush.
