Parkes was born in Missouri but currently lives in Spain. His unique style was influenced by a period in his life when he gave up art altogether and traveled to India in search of philosophical enlightenment. His art is often classified as magic realism and fantasy art, and it’s known for its meticulous detail and dreamlike imagery.
