This sculpture is mounted on a granite base.

Chanson Bust presents a spirited, windswept, and rapturous sense of grace and movement. The very name offers a song of praise to the glories of nature around her. The subtle interweaving of the rich patinas of earthy-brown and sea-green suggest both a mortal beginning and an other-worldly destiny. Chanson was created by Frederick Hart as a Chesley sculpture to be used on his property in a water installation and it was prominently featured in Hart’s garden landscape at Chesley during his lifetime. ©Frederick Hart.
