Chad Smith
Chad Smith is one of rocks’ most iconic musicians, leading a generation redefining music as the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and changing culture as an advocate for music and the arts. A six-time GRAMMY winning, member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Guinness World Record holder, Chad is a force. A 30-year member of Red Hot Chili Peppers, he has over 50 album/EP/compilation records to his name, was the host of the PBS TV series “Landmarks Live in Concert, and outspoken advocate for the arts, and was appointed by President Obama as a “Turnaround Artist for Public Schools.” In 2016 Chad began marrying music with art and launched his first art collection.
Despite Smith's ardent work ethic and success, the family remains his priority. Living in California, Smith is the father of 6 children. In reflecting on his life, Smith can hardly believe his good fortune. "I work with people who want to grow; the Chili Peppers are open to new directions, and as an artist, it's the best creative situation to be in. It's simple: I love what I'm doing, and I'm fortunate. I got pretty good at the music thing," he says humbly. "This is a fun, new way to express myself.” - Chad Smith
